Friday Sermon 10th October – 2025

Sermon 1: Taqwa in Sexual Affairs (10) – Purpose of marriage – Tranquility (sukoon)
Sermon 2: Agreement under betrayal by Qatar and Turkey
1. Protecting Private Parts
The first step in preserving sexual ability is to protect one’s private parts. This protection is not limited to covering sexual organs through clothing — it also means guarding them through our eyes, tongue, and behavior.
All the sexual deviations we see today are due to the lack of this protection. Parents must ensure modesty begins at home. They should even restrict visits from non-Mahram relatives when necessary.
If some people have indecent speech, behavior, or dress, then the doors of your home should remain closed to them. Such individuals spread corruption wherever they go.
2. The Principle of Marriage
The second principle is marriage (Nikah). If marriage is delayed for genuine reasons, one must adopt ‘Iffah’ (chastity) — meaning to restrain one’s sexual desires and emotions. However, the real solution, as commanded by the Qur’an, is marriage.
3. The Meaning of Nikah
The word Nikah means “life after pairing (Zawj).” The Qur’an uses Nikah to describe the system that regulates sexual life.
Nikah is not just an ‘Aqd’ (contract).‘Aqd’ literally means to tie or knot two things together. But Nikah expresses something deeper — it means one thing becoming absorbed into another.
Before the Qur’an, Arabs used the word Nakaha for ordinary things, like drowsiness overcoming the eyes or rainwater seeping into the earth.Similarly, in Nikah, two human beings merge into each other to the extent that nothing remains hidden between them. Their personalities absorb into one another and they lose their separate identities, like sugar dissolving into milk — invisible but giving sweetness and harmony. This is the true spirit of Nikah.
4. Cultural Misunderstandings in Marriage
In Pakistan, arranged marriages were once conducted in a way where the boy and girl never saw each other before marriage. Families made the decisions, and the children accepted them out of respect.
On the wedding night, they met each other in darkness, and even after marriage, were not allowed to speak or sit together in public. The mother-in-law controlled everything, and after a short period of praise, she would begin to find faults in her daughter-in-law.
Such customs prevent the couple from developing emotional connection. As a result, they remain strangers even after marriage. Without emotional and personal understanding, conflict and frustration grow.
When there is no real bonding, sexual and psychological problems begin. The husband may find ways to escape, but the wife has nowhere to go.Therefore, before marriage, families should ensure that the couple can truly blend and understand one another. Otherwise, the relationship becomes a burden instead of a blessing.
5. Marriage as a Divine System
Religion has designed marriage (Nikah) as the divine system for regulating sexual ability. Mere physical pairing is not marriage — real marriage means unity, not just togetherness.
In Surah al-Rum, verse 21, Allah says:
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ {21}
“And one of His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves so that you may find rest in them, and He placed between you love and mercy. Surely in this are signs for those who reflect.”
In this verse, marriage is described as a sign of Allah, meaning it leads to recognition and nearness to Him.Man is the center and driver of this system, while woman is like a co-pilot — assisting and balancing. Sensitive responsibilities are never left to one person alone. However, this doesn’t mean that a man’s control guarantees success. If he lacks intellect, sense, and maturity, he cannot lead rightly. True leadership in a family depends on reason and balance, not dominance.
6. The Purpose of Marriage – Peace and Tranquility
The verse explains that Allah created mates so that humans may find Sukoon (tranquility) in one another. This tranquility is not only physical but also emotional, psychological, and spiritual.Children raised in a home full of conflict and tension grow up with hatred, fear, rebellion, and emotional instability. Even if parents think children are unaware, their minds record every detail — tone, anger, and stress. These impressions later shape their behavior.
Hence, the atmosphere at home must be peaceful. The first outcome of marriage should be peace and comfort between spouses. When husband and wife give each other peace, Allah blesses them further — and this divine blessing is called Mawaddah (love) and Rahmah (mercy). This is the real sign of Allah for those who think and reflect.
7. The Connection Between Peace and Strength
True peace does not come from air conditioners or luxury beds — it comes from relationships filled with love and understanding.Even people living in small homes with many children often seem more content and happy.Peace is connected to the heart, not material comfort. The human body’s nervous system — like a network of wires — controls all organs and emotions. When distress dominates, these nerves weaken, leading to problems like depression, fatigue, and physical illness.
A person with tired nerves becomes unproductive. Most of this tiredness originates from domestic stress. Many married people live like strangers despite being under one roof, draining each other emotionally. When a marriage truly works as intended, the first gift spouses give each other is peace — and Allah, in return, grants continuous love and mercy.
8. The Qur’an’s Wisdom in Organizing Sexual Life
The Qur’an beautifully organizes human sexual life, aiming to produce a generation of noble human beings.A person born in a corrupt or disturbed atmosphere cannot easily grow into a person of values. That is why the Qur’anic design of Nikah — rooted in love, peace, and moral restraint — is essential for nurturing true humanity.

SERMON 2
Who Passed the Test
The test of all humanity is Gaza. Not everyone failed — some have shown courage and integrity. First among the successful are the true crusaders of Palestine: Hezbollah, Ansarullah, and Iran. Second are the people of Gaza themselves, who have stayed despite immense hardship and have not shown any sign of abandoning their land. Third are those who supported them from around the world — including many non-Muslims, such as university students in the USA and UK. A smaller number of people from Muslim countries also stood up, like those who joined the Sumud Flotilla to bring aid to Gaza. About five hundred people from around the world took part and suffered arrest and mistreatment by Israel.
Betrayal by Leaders and Nations
Many did not take this test at all. Some Arab rulers and populations effectively sided with Israel or betrayed the people of Gaza. Non-Arab leaders in countries like Turkey and Pakistan also acted in ways that helped the aggressors. This examination of character and solidarity is not yet over.
The Agreement and Its Pressure
According to news reports, an agreement was reached, and Hamas managed to preserve its dignity to some extent. But this deal came after heavy pressure on Hamas from eight Muslim states, reportedly at the urging of Trump. Two countries were particularly active: Qatar and Turkey. They pressured Hamas by threatening the safety of its leadership abroad and by warning that they might hand leaders over to Trump. Under such pressure, Hamas accepted a twenty-point agreement that many see as coerced.
Hamas as a Movement, Not Just a Group
Israel’s military leaders, some ministers, and U.S. media have admitted they could not finish Hamas. They said Hamas is more than a group — it is a vision that persists among Palestinians. Palestinians broadly continue to support Hamas; many have publicly declared that Hamas cannot be dismantled and that Hamas represents Palestine.
Intentions Behind the Agreement
This agreement appears designed to protect Israel’s position. Reports say outside actors were told to clear tunnels and remove weapons in Gaza. Leadership outside Gaza felt threatened with arrest, which helped push the agreement through. But the conflict is unlikely to end: resistance will continue, and the aggressors will resist as well. Those who brokered the agreement now plan to enter Gaza and try to control and restructure it. Hamas leaders have warned their people to prepare for a long war. Yahya Sinwar said that while Hamas might not be able to control every part of Gaza, their struggle could mobilize global opposition to Israel.
Global Reaction and Comparisons
Worldwide reactions have been telling — for example, many countries showed their displeasure at Netanyahu during the UNGA session. The pressure on leaders like Netanyahu is rising. If the intervening nations had not stepped in, some believe Israel might have been defeated. Many compare this agreement to the historical peace treaty of Imam Hassan (a), where difficult choices were made under immense pressure. Just as Imam Hassan accepted a painful settlement to protect his people, Hamas accepted the agreement under threats and coercion.
Our Position and the Future of Resistance
We stand with the Palestinians as long as they remain on the path of resistance. We do not support leaders like Mahmoud Abbas if they seek to sell out Palestinian rights. Pakistan’s role has been disgraceful and careless for decades, and recent actions show Pakistan being dragged into shameful decisions.

This moment gives both Israel and Hamas new opportunities. Hamas and its supporters may reorganize globally and form new resistance networks. These movements aim to challenge what they see as tyrants and occupiers. The struggle will continue, and supporters believe that the cause of the oppressed will ultimately succeed by Allah’s promise.
