Sermon 2: Treachery and Resistance
The Unique Sexual Nature of Human Beings
The sexual instinct exists in all living beings, but its expression and impact are profoundly different in humans. While animals experience no sexual crisis unless disturbed by human interference—such as when humans domesticate them and restrict their sexual freedom—humans undergo intense internal conflict due to their intellect and societal structures.
“Shahwat” refers to desires, which may be either positive or negative. “Hawa” refers to base urges that disgracefully lower human dignity. Allah has created pleasure in all necessary actions—just as food has taste, sexual activity carries pleasure. But unlike animals, Allah has gifted human beings with the power of intellect to manage these pleasures. Animals simply follow instinct, whereas man must consciously manage his actions. Management means accomplishing a task using available resources within a defined timeframe. This includes managing internal faculties, and among them, the sexual faculty is the most difficult to regulate.
Divine Framework for Sexual Management
The Qur’an outlines a three-tiered system for managing sexual desire: Marriage, Chastity (Iffat), and God-consciousness (Taqwa). Taqwa is best achieved through marriage, which serves as a protective shield. The Qur’an acknowledges some people may be genuinely unable to marry—not due to modern excuses like pursuing education or lacking a job, but due to real constraints. For them, the path of chastity is the second option. Beyond this, Allah has designed additional moral and social mechanisms to regulate human sexuality.
A respected teacher, Taqi Jafar, says man is often defeated by his ego—self-love, self-praise, and selfishness—and then, by his sexual instincts. Though Allah has provided divine tools for control, our failure to implement them has led to widespread moral decay. Expecting good outcomes while ignoring divine systems is sheer foolishness. As Imam Sadiq (a) wisely stated, the most foolish person is the one who expects a harvest without first cultivating the land.
Just as hunger is universal and Allah has provided lawful food, sexual desire is also universal and must be fulfilled lawfully. If one satisfies hunger through forbidden food, it yields spiritual harm. The same principle applies to sexuality—if man disregards the divine plan of marriage, chastity, and taqwa, both the individual and society will suffer widespread moral and social collapse.
The Danger of Suppression Instead of Management
Some ethicists teach suppression of desire as a solution, but this is unnatural and harmful. It is like being hungry but told to ignore food. Suppressing a natural instinct without proper channeling is like sealing a pressure cooker—eventually, it will explode. The same happens when children’s desires are ignored or repressed. They may seem quiet, but the desire hasn’t gone—it simply went unmanaged. The real solution is Taqwa-based management.
Today, many so-called scholars and influencers either remain silent on or even promote unhealthy practices. As a result, sexual crimes have become the most prevalent type of crime in society—statistics reveal that over 80% of crimes are linked to sexual misconduct, often even behind murders. When parents, leaders, or religious scholars fail to address this issue appropriately, they set the stage for a societal disaster. These repressed forces will inevitably erupt like a storm.
Islam’s Unmatched System vs. the West’s Crisis
Despite numerous man-made social systems, the Islamic approach to sexual management remains unparalleled. Western societies attempted to manage these issues, but often worsened them—giving rise to phenomena like widespread homosexuality. Ironically, some scholars are praised for their “foresight” while being blind to real-world social crises. They live in abstract “heavens,” detached from the ground realities the Qur’an commands prophets to address.
Allah has designed a comprehensive and beautiful system. If we live within it, we live in Taqwa. But many of us are unaware of how deeply this crisis surrounds us—and some of us are already victims without realizing it. Sexual energy never fully dies. Even a person who is a hundred years old may lack physical capability but still possesses sexual orientation and imagination. Since the mind is the source of this energy, not just the body, crises begin in thought. Unlike humans, animals lack imagination, so they don’t suffer sexual crises. But in man, sexual deviation begins in the mind—imagination becomes a womb for corrupt desires. Elderly people, too, can experience distorted mental pleasures when imagination becomes diseased.
The Power of Properly Managed Sexuality
When properly managed, sexual energy can be a powerful constructive force. The Qur’an’s model—marriage, chastity, and Taqwa—is the channel through which this power becomes sacred and productive. Unfortunately, we have neglected this, but the West has not. Thinkers like Darwin, Karl Marx, and Sigmund Freud are followed in our institutions. Yet all three introduced flawed ideologies that scientifically legitimized moral corruption.
Darwin’s unproven theories form the backbone of modern education. Karl Marx redefined economic systems with materialistic assumptions. Why did people accept them? Because they correctly identified certain crises—but the solutions they proposed were dangerous and misleading. More on this will be addressed later.
SERMON 2
When Taqwa is Lost, Humanity Becomes Beastly
When man crosses the boundaries of Taqwa, he transforms into a cruel, tyrannical, and beastly being. The destruction caused by such individuals renders the world unfit for living. Today, we witness a global atmosphere dominated by barbarism and oppression. Forces of evil—real Satans—roam the earth, and many people have not only accepted them but actively support their tyranny and savagery.
Gaza: A Mirror of Global Silence
Gaza stands today as a tragic victim of this collective beastliness. The entire world watches this unfolding cruelty like spectators. From the day Gaza’s buildings were destroyed to the time its people were forced into refugee camps—and even when those camps were bombed and people tortured with hunger—the world has remained silent, or at most, issued hollow appeals to the “international community.”
Today, hunger, thirst, bullets, and bombs define life in Gaza. Yet, the Arab nations and much of the world continue to observe passively. Just last night, the Zionist cabinet decided on the full occupation of Gaza. No historical example exists where a tyrant is allowed to act freely while the world looks on. This generation is witnessing the disgrace and humiliation of humanity—and anyone silent in the face of this cruelty should not be counted among true human beings.
The Betrayal of Resistance
The forces that once stood in resistance to oppression have been weakened—ironically, not by the enemy, but by betrayal from within the Muslim world. The first act of betrayal was the regime change in Syria, carried out in unison by various groups. Pakistan may not have directly participated, but it stood with those who did. Pakistani organizations were present on the ground. Historically, the Pakistani state has persecuted the Zainabiyoon Brigade for defending the shrine of Lady Zainab (s), and this persecution of Shia fighters continues.
Yet today, when the Umayyads have returned to Syria, there is no concern. This shows the Pakistani state’s deep discomfort with the concept of resistance. Their only response is weak statements like “Israel should be stopped by the international community.” If Israel must be stopped, then stand with those who are truly resisting—Iran, Hezbollah, Yemen, and Hamas. But instead, Pakistan aligns itself with Israel’s supporters and betrays the cause again and again.
Tyranny Fails, Treachery Destroys
History and the Qur’an both testify that truth can never be defeated by oppression—but it can be undermined by treachery. The tyrants, like Banu Umayyah, confronted the Prophet (s) and failed. But when they reappeared as Muslims, the damage they caused has never been repaired. Today, the same is true—America, Israel, and their allies are tyrants, and they could not defeat Hamas, Hezbollah, or Iran by force. They only succeeded due to traitors within.
Iran is now uncovering such infiltrators. These acts of betrayal are not carried out by commoners—only those in positions of authority can cause such damage. Those responsible for leaking critical information and enabling attacks were from within the system. For instance, an Iranian drone factory was compromised, not by external forces, but through those in charge of border control. Recent propaganda in Iran blames Afghan laborers, but how could such sensitive information be accessed by them?
In one incident, a meeting of Iranian intelligence officers in civilian dress was held discreetly in a mosque in Tajrish. As they arrived, a missile struck, killing them. No public information existed about this meeting—only someone from within the system could have known. A day before, an Iranian atomic scientist was hanged for leaking secrets. These acts of treachery are recurring—first against Syria, then Iran, and now Hezbollah.
Disarming Resistance: A Global Conspiracy
While Zionists finalize their plans for full occupation of Palestine, the Lebanese cabinet—under external pressure—holds meetings to disarm Hezbollah. This plan is supported by the U.S., Zionists, and other nations. All of it is a result of betrayal from within the Muslim world.
If Hezbollah is disarmed, or Iran gives up its nuclear program, and Gaza is occupied—will the Zionists stop? No. They have declared that this is their historical opportunity to fulfill a 100-year-old plan. America clears the path; Israel executes it. This is why former President Trump showed keen interest in Pakistan and revealed that Balochistan contains the world’s fourth-largest oil reserves. Al Jazeera published an investigative report showing that an ex-Israeli general leads a think tank on Balochistan. The region is being prepared for Israeli interests, and yet our Army Chief is visiting America once again.
The Greater Israel Plan and the Response of Divine Resistance
The events in the Middle East are now shifting towards the East. The Greater Israel map is no longer a plan—it is being implemented. Many puppet rulers have been installed to facilitate it. But this is the deception of Satan, and above Satan’s deception is Allah’s divine stratagem, which will ultimately prevail.
Resistance began by the command of Allah and will continue by His will. When Allah’s soldiers carry forward the resistance, no Pharaoh can stop them. When Allah commands, a single staff in the hand of Musa (a) is enough to drown a Pharaoh. A time will come when today’s tyrants—these modern-day Pharaohs—will be destroyed. And the lands plagued by oppression will find salvation.
